Tino on TMKS today? What did he have to say? I missed it!!!!! (Whaaa!!) :'-(~Am~
So please pardon the excitment but JOEY SALVIA mentioned my name today!!!! Ahhh!!! Right after they played Tino's new theme song and hung up with him, they discussed if they thought Tino liked his song, and then they went to go take phone calls from the fans, and Joey said thanks to me for emailing him right away to say that I liked it. :) Ahhhh Okay, again, I don't mean to brag, but it's pretty surreal and I'm still coming down from the giddiness!! :) Hopefully Joey'll put the theme song up soon! :) TINO FOREVER!!!! ~Amanda~
Tino will be on right after the commercials!!!~AM~
Looks like Tino's interview might be a bit delayed today, as the knicks firing of Coach Thomas is at the front of the news. :)~Am~
Remember everyone - Tino will be on TMKS today, most likely around his usual 5:20pm slot.I'll let you know if it's sooner or later. than that! :)~Am~
Tino will have an autograph signing at a sports store in Armonk, NY on June 25th... Steiner Sports - Upcoming Signings. Near the bottom of the page in the right column. I think you can also send something in to have it signed, but the info and prices aren't up yet. The place is about 30 miles north of NYC (you can get directions here).Anyone planning to go? I think I'm gonna try.
Did anyone happen to catch Tino on 1050 ESPN radio today? I missed most of it, just caught something about Randy Johnson and how Paulie looks like he's going to jump out of the booth and start playing again *g* (in reference to whether or not games like these make Tino miss playing). Thanks!
11pm on YES!!! :)Wheee!!!!I can't wait!!!~Am~
for those that missed it...and as i told nycgrl24, i would have had the actual audio if i had gotten more than 5 hours of sleep last night, and therefore been functioning when i hit record earlier. at least my short-term memory is still working *g*alright, so they started off talking about all the homeruns being hit lately and why that's the case if the steroid testing is working... so tino said that he thinks the pitchers have stopped taking them as well as the batters because he's noticing the pitch speeds going down. he said that when he was with st. louis all the pitchers in the NL threw in the upper 90s and now everyone's down around 89-91mph... he said people speculate that the ball is juiced but he doesn't think that's the case, just that it has evened out now, we have a level playing field because of the testing. also, that you'd think pitchers wouldn't use steroids because of their arms, but that it must help the speed...they talked about the knicks a little bit, since that was the press conference that pushed back tino's show. [long story short, the knicks had a crappy year and one of the players was bad-mouthing the coach] tino said how you have to respect coaches like larry brown [the knicks' coach] and joe torre because they know how to win.then michael asked him about randy johnson getting hit the other day... and tino talked about how johnson is usually pretty unhittable but he was leaving some pitches up in the zone, etc... and some other technical pitching stuff that i don't remember at the moment :)they then progressed to mike mussina and how he's pitching much better and made some adjustments... his fastball is up in the 90s and his changeup in the 70s which is a great combination.and then my favorite part - michael mentioned how paulie doesn't want to show up at old timer's day too soon, and that don mattingly was reluctant as well, so does tino plan to show up this year? so he starts laughing and saying no and that he wanted to give it a couple of years first. michael said how tino could pull a joe dimaggio and just show up in a suit and not play - more laughter - and tino said how he loves the yankee organization and owes it to the fans since they've been so great to him. anyone else who caught the show - if i missed anything, feel free to add it i was distracted by chocolate chip pancakes :)
He was delayed due to the press conference!:)~Am~
